All about Class Suit III and 5th attributes

Postby enki91 » 11 Sep 2012, 19:48

Since the new patch was released at FB-GW, there are many questions about CSIII around.
So, to sum them all up, i've decided to make this little guide about everything you need to know.

1. Preparations and upgrading to CSIII

In order to upgrade your equipment to CSIII and being able to add a fifth attribute, it has to be CSII first (except Weapon), Like the previous Class Suits, you will need specific Insignias for the upgrade. These are called (surprise, surprise!) Promotional Insignia III and can be bought at the Point Exchanger NPC (Sparta/Athens, 133,-37) for 1200 Thearchy Medals each.
These Medals can be gained through Wonderland (check this guide: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=29286) and Thearchy Medal Sacks.
Again, there is a certain amount of Insignias and required level needed for each specific piece of equipment. Simply check this chart for more info:

Image

After you have enough Insignias and reached the required level, go to the Gear Mentor NPC in your main city (Search -> Gear Enhancer) and choose Class Suit -> Convert into Class Suit III, put the Equipment into the upper and Insignias into the lower slot and click "OK".
Congratulations, you have successfully upgraded your Equipment to CSIII!

2. All about the fifth attribute

Now that you have a piece of CSIII gear, you're able to add a 5th attribute to it.
This can be any attribute you usually can add to the equipment, Hard Point Stones and double attributes are not allowed. All in all, CSIII just extends the previous four slots by another one, giving you more space for attributes you weren't able to use before.
A little exception are weapons. They already can have a fifth attribute at CSI/II, but CSIII enables them to use everything beyond Hard Point Stones.
I made a little list for every piece of equipment, which stones/attributes can be added:

Sword: Patk; Hit; Crit; HRB; HP; HP Res; Healing; disable Pdef; Blood; Courage; Energy; Rage
Spear: Patk; Hit; Crit; Pdmg; HP; HP Res; Healing; disable Pdef; Blood; Courage; Energy; Rage
One-Hand Wand; Matk; Hit; Crit; HRB; MP; MP Res; Healing; disable Mdef; Holy, Blessing; Rune; Force
Two-Hand Wand: Matk; Hit; Crit; Mdmg; HP; MP; MP Res; Healing; disable Mdef; Holy; Blessing; Rune; Force
Gloves: Patk; Matk; Hit; Crit; Pdmg; Mdmg; HRB; Healing; disable Pdef; disable Mdef
P. Helmet: Patk; Hit; Crit; Pdmg; HRB; HP; Healing; disable Pdef
M. Helmet: Matk; Hit; Crit; Mdmg; HRB; MP; Healing; disable Mdef
HP Helmet: Pdmg; Mdmg; Hit; Crit; HRB; HP; MP; Healing; disable Pdef: disable Mdef
Rings: Patk; Matk; Crit; Pdmg; Mdmg; HRB; HP; Healing; disable Pdef; disable Mdef
Shield: Pdef; Mdef; Dmg Abs; DRB; HP; MP; H.Done
P. Armor: Pdef; Dmg Abs; HP; HP Res; Dodge; DRB; H.Done
M. Armor: Mdef: Dmg Abs; MP; MP Res; Dodge; DRB; H.Done
Cuffs: Pdef; Mdef; HP Res; Hit; DRB; H.Done; Tena
Leggings: Pdef; Mdef; HP Res; Dodge; DRB; H.Done; Tena
Belt: Pdef; Mdef; Dmg Abs; HP; MP; HP Res; MP Res; Tena
Boots: Dmg Abs; HP; HP Res; MP Res; Dodge; H.Done; Tena
Amulet: Dmg Abs; MP; Dodge; DRB; Healing; H.Done; Tena

Once your equipment is CSIII, you have a Flame Spark and an Attribute Stone, go to the Gear Mentor, choose Class Suit -> Add an Attribute and put in Equipment, Flame Spark and Attribute Stone, then click "OK". Done!

If the added attribute has a level (f.e. HP), you can level it through Gear Mentor -> Salary -> Enhance Gear Attribute. To delete a fifth attribute, choose Delete gear's attributes ... or check the next section.

3. Some hints and stuff

- If you want to get rid of your fifth attribute but also want to save money, simply convert your equipment back to normal gear.
The fifth attribute requires CSIII, when converting it back to normal gear the fifth attribute will be gone.
While all your Insignias get refunded, Flame Sparks, Attribute Stones and Quartz Plates don't.
This already leads us to the next point..

- Never put following attributes as fifth attribute: Patk; Matk; Pdef; Mdef; HP; MP; HP Res; MP Res; Dmg Abs; disable Pdef; disable Mdef.
The reason is simple: If you ever convert your equipment back to normal gear, like you have to when switching class, you will lose the fifth attribute without any refund.
But most of the stated attributes can be leveled with Quartz Plates, so losing them especially at Lvl.5 is quite expensive.
The both new stones aren't advisable to use&lose too while we're still not full CSIII, since each of them costs 1200 Medals.

- Spirit of Destruction and Spirit of Penetration are normal Attribute Stones. That means they are not restricted to CSIII and can be added to the previous four slots aswell.
Theoretically, even Ni Mini chars can add some disable Pdef/Mdef if they find a way to gain enough Medals.

You mentioned that ----- " - Spirit of Destruction and Spirit of Penetration are normal Attribute Stones. That means they are not restricted to CSIII and can be added to the previous four slots aswell."

Does that mean a cs2 with 4 options and deleted 1 option we can add 1 of this 2 new stones? i didnt know about that but what I remember is we can only add those 2 new stones to a cs3 gear.

Is it already proven/tested that it is possible?

CSIII only enables us to use the 5th attribute. The stones are no CS stones (like Hard Point Stones) and can be used in 4opts aswell. Just take a look at my gloves :)

@ScareCrow: Thanks, i will try to do that once people reach full CSIII :)

"While all your Insignias get refunded, Flame Sparks, Attribute Stones and Quartz Plates don't."

Does this mean that if I make my CS3 gloves back to normal I will get all insignia CS1, CS2 and CS3? How come in game it only says "All CS1 and CS2 insignia are refunded.

Thanks,

It was probably just not updated ingame yet, but don't worry, you will get ALL insignias including your Insignia III's :)
